Summer Employment 2013

The Town of Saint Andrews is accepting applications for the following positions for the summer of 2013.

Public Works Labourer

Duties will include various tasks around town such as lawn mowing, painting and other jobs as assigned.

Junior Wharfinger Market Wharf

Duties will include assisting Wharfinger with incoming boats, light maintenance around wharf, assisting tourists and boaters with inquiries.

Experience with boating considered an asset.

Beach Attendants - Katy's Cove

Must have Current National Lifeguard Service Award, be mature and responsible, and enjoys working with the public.

Tour Guides - St. Andrews Blockhouse

We are currently looking for individuals to act as tour guides. Duties include: providing public tours, addressing the public's inquiries, and light maintenance around the facility. The successful applicants have an interest in historic artifacts, places and events, and enjoy dealing with the public. Bilingualism is a necessity.

Visitor Information Centre Attendants

We are currently looking for individuals to staff our Welcome Centre. Duties include meeting with tourists, providing information on the Town and assisting them with their visit to our area. Successful applicants should have a thorough knowledge of Saint Andrews, be outgoing, friendly and willing to assist others. A general knowledge of computer use (Internet and MS Office Suite). Spoken proficiency in both official languages considered an asset.

Preference given to candidates enrolled in high school or a post-secondary institution this fall.
