The Town of Saint Andrews, incorporated as such in 1903 is a small sea-side town often referred to as St. Andrews By-the-Sea. Heritage and Tourism are key elements of the Town's life.  In November 2016, Historic Water Street was selected by the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) as the juried winner during their "Great Places in Canada" competition in the category of "Great Street". Many properties in town have Heritage designations under the New Brunswick Register of Historic Places.  The Town is extremely busy from May to October welcoming visitors from around the world who come to enjoy whale watching, sea kayaking, golfing on a signature course, taking historic tours or just strolling through the many unique shops on historic Water Street.  During the off-season festivals and events have become a great way to liven up the colder winter days.   Saint Andrews is the place to be in any season!
